Alhamdulillah, akhirnya wordpress ku dah pindah ke versi 2.6.3. Belum tau juga, kelebihan dan kekurangan pada versi ini. Yang jelas sekarang aq malah jadi bingung…versi 2.6.3 belum ada seminggu diluncurkan, tp besok tanggal 10 November 2008 (klo ga salah c..) wordpress 2.7 keluar. Lha rada ‘muspro’ leh ku ngupdate,,masa harus ngupdate lageee? heuh..
Tak cari2 review yg versi 2.7, akhirnya dapet. Niy dah ikutan tak posting klo mau baca, walaupun dalam bahasa inggris

It’s finally here, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The long months of your tolerance and forbearance as you suffered through the inelegance of our hacked-together, leftover Crazyhorse interface are almost at an end. (Was it really that painful?)
The visuals you have been craving are finally finished enough to show, and have been approved by the lead developers. We hope you like them. Mad props to Matt Thomas and Andy Peatling for their visual talents. You can expect these designs to be extended to the rest of the 2.7 screens and implemented over the coming weeks.
So now that we finally nailed down the look, how’s it going to work? The menu system in particular has been the topic of discussion on the hackers and testers lists, so I thought I would take this opportunity to explain how we plan for it to work. As you know, one of the goals of 2.7 was to reduce the necessity to load new screens just to access sub-navigation menus; we wanted the most-used screens to be within a click or two at most. If you’ve been using the nightly builds, you got used to the arrow controls that allowed you to expand and contract the menus. Then you got used to the box-style with icons that not only opened and closed vertically, but could be minimized horizontally as well, leaving a remnant of icons to provide a kind of “advanced mode,” though you don’t need to be particularly advanced to use it. Now that we have real button styles (the icons are still placeholders, and we hope to have some new ones soonish), we’ve nailed down the menu functionality.

walaupun browsing jadi agak lambat, tapi effect2 kerennya bikin penjelajahan di dunia maya jadi lebih hidup. Selamat mencoba
Siapa yang tak kenal dengan Google, mesin cari populer dengan latar halaman bernuansa putih sederhana plus logo “Google” di atas kotak mesin carinya.
Jika Anda bosan dengan tampilan logo tersebut, Anda bisa membuat halaman seperti Google dengan nama Anda. Caranya sangat mudah. Cukup klik-klik saja logo dan style yang diinginkan, dalam sekejap Anda akan bisa memiliki halaman mesin cari seperti Google dengan nama Anda. Simak langkahnya:
1. Buka situs keren ini
2. Masukan nama yang Anda inginkan pada situs tersebut.
3. Tentukan style tulisan yang diinginkan, misal: Google Style.
4. Klik “Create My Search Engine”.
5. Setelah itu akan muncul tampilan “Situs Google” dengan logo yang kita inginkan.
Untuk membuat tampilan tersebut menjadi halaman default ketika Anda membuka browser, copy alamat yang tertera pada Address.
Untuk Browser Internet Explorer (IE):
1. Klik menu Tools – Internet Options
2. Pilih tab General, lalu ubah field Home Page dengan alamat tersebut.
Untuk Browser Mozila:
1. Klik menu Tools – Options
2. Pilih tab Main, lalu ubah field Home Page dengan alamat tersebut.
3. Pada field When Firefox starts, pilih settingan Show my home page, lalu klik OK.
Setelah semua langkah dilakukan, Anda bisa mencoba membuka browser dan melihat hasilnya.
Selesai sudah upgrade wordpress ke ver.2.6.2. Ternyata ga sulit upgrade wordpress, ga perlu pake cara kuno yang susah dan lama. Cukup pake plugin Wordpress Automatic Upgrade (dikandani lupek..hehe) tinggal click sana click sini…jadi deh

belum genap 1 hari, web elins dah ganti muka depan. sekarang jadi lebih cool dan elegan dengan homepage warna hitam dan merah yang menunjukkan sisi ke-ELINS-annya.

yap.. 2 September kemarin Google baru saja ngeluarin software browsernya yang dikasih nama Google Chrome (nama projectnya Chromiun). Tampilan/interface-nya sangat simple (kaya gambar di atas). Kelebihan dari browser ini adalah lebih ringan digunakan, dan lebih cepat untuk proses browsingnya. Selain itu, Google Chrome ini lebih stabil karena memiliki proses manager multi-threaded.
